My Journey
Ghulam Jeelani
I was born in the beautiful town of Tral in Kashmir, a place blessed with mountains, springs, waterfalls and forests. Growing up in such a peaceful and natural setting gave me a sense of calm and appreciation for the little things in life. My world revolved around my parents, my brother and later my wife, who have always been my biggest support system.
As a child, my biggest passion was sports, especially cricket. I was always drawn to the game, not just for the excitement but for the lessons it taught me. Cricket showed me the value of teamwork, brotherhood, focus and personal responsibility. Whether it was celebrating a win with my friends or taking responsibility for a mistake on the field, the game shaped my thinking in many ways. It made me believe that success is never just about one person—it’s about standing together as a team.
On 1st September 2015, I began a new chapter in my life when I joined SpiceJet. From day one, I realized this was more than just a workplace. It felt like I had found another family. Just like on the cricket field, here too, I experienced team spirit, encouragement and energy. SpiceJet gave me the chance to grow not only as an individual but also as a team player.
Over the years, my passion has grown into helping others, coordinating and resolving issues in aviation. This industry is full of challenges, but every challenge gives me an opportunity to make a difference. What I love most about my journey at SpiceJet is how it has taught me empathy – the ability to see things from another person’s perspective, to feel what they feel and to respond with understanding.
Working here has been a journey of learning and growing every single day. SpiceJet has not only given me a career but also a family that supports and inspires me.
And that’s why I always feel that if someone is looking for a place to learn, grow and truly belong, they should join SpiceJet. It’s not just about flying high in the sky—it’s about being part of a team that uplifts each other, celebrates together and stands by one another like a family.
